Walk the Hard, Celebrate the Joy

Adoption and Foster Care is a journey that can be filled with both pain and beauty. This path that we are on is so often laced with hard, dark times. It is in these difficult times that the Lord holds our hand and invites us to walk beside Him. And as He guides us through, he gives us glimpses of Heaven, those joyful times that He ordains and celebrates with us. Because, that is who He is…the never-changing, ever-present, always-loving God. When we choose to live and love with intention we are able to not only walk through the hard times, but also celebrate with true joy the wonderful moments.

Intentional: adjective: done in a way that is planned or intended.

As mothers, we so often trudge through life with our eyes low, focusing on the next week, day, or minute and how we will survive the hard, the mundane, or the frantic. But, when we intentionally fix our eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:1-2) and focus on the fact that he has planned and intended us for such a time as this, our focus shifts heavenward and He gives us the endurance that is found only through Him. It is that endurance that allows us to refocus on what truly matters and to live a life where we intentionally pursue him, love our families, and live out the calling God has on our lives. As this shirt so simply reflects, our prayer is that we would live life with INTENTION.
